Common Questions When Hiring a Coach:

Why does LSI offer coaching ?

As the future of association leadership today we know that moving an organization is a whole ball game. The pressure is on like never before with concerns over social media replacing memberships increasing the need for new sources of revenue, technology, lack of volunteers, shortage of resources and staff trends toward retirement.

    Who do we coach?

LSI coaches both association staff and association volunteer leadership officers.  Our clients are generally either senior association executives looking for fresh perspectives from an XY association professional or they are a younger professional wanting to get clear about their goals and pathway to success.  For volunteers making the financial commitment to coaching we work with them to assure their year in leadership is efficient, effective and fun.

Coaching sessions are offered in 60 and 90 minute phone, Skype or face to face sessions. Executives seeking coaching commit to a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month commitment.

    What is a coach?

A coach is an ongoing professional relationship with some who will help you to create the remarkable results you want in your life.  Through the process of coaching you are able to deepen your learning of yourself and improve your performance.  Overall having a coach will enhance the quality of your life and your relationships.  Effective coaching will help you determine where you want to go and how to get there.  As the future of association leadership we help both senior and new association professionals truly set a course for success that delivers on your personal best.

How should I select a coach?

Selecting a coach is a personal process.  You want to interview the coaches first to get to know who they are and what they will offer you.  It is key in coaching to find someone who you feel comfortable sharing your inner most ideas, desires and goals with in a confidential and supportive way.  In addition you want to find a coach who will hold you accountable to the goals that you set. We recommend finding someone who is timely, available and efficient.
